Student Nurses Association

The student Nurses association (SNA) was established in 1929 which is nationwide organization. In 1954, SNA celebrated its Silver Jubilee & number of Units were 117. Now SNA is having more than 506 units. S.N.A. is having separate biennial conferences. There is full time secretary for SNA at national level. Students are given more & more responsibility to manage their affairs both at state & national levels.

The student nurses can get membership in student nurses association during their training period & can take membership in TNAI after completion of General Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing by obtaining a certificate from the institution she studied.

Objectives of S.N.A.
  1. Advise to furnish professional qualification in their course at study.
  2. Uphold the dignity & Ideals at profession.
  3. Help students to gain a wide knowledge at the Nursing profession in different branches , aspects & encourage leadership abilities.
  4. Encourage professional, social & recreational development & arrange meetings , games & sports.
  • For the benefit at students, provide a special section in Nursing Journal of India.
  • Encourage students to compete for prizes in student nurses exhibition & to attend state & national level conferences.
